NEW RELEASE | Lust Cinema
Ball Control by Joybear

Another sex positive, empowered, female focused film from Joybear! “A team of men all dependent on one woman”…

Joybear are one of the producers I love sharing with you via Lust Cinema! They often put women behind the camera, as well as empowered, real women in front of the camera. The production house take pride in their interesting, strong and provocative female characters, who they claim would pass the “dinner party test” with their level of charisma and back story. And Ball Control should be no exception! Despite the idea that “football is a man’s world”, the female characters range from multilingual science scholars to UN Ambassadors, with natural bodies and real desires in the bedroom!
If you like variety, you’ve come to the right place. Ball Control explores the sexual desires of several different women, all in high-powered jobs and seeking dominance in their sex lives as well. There’s a sports physio who in her own words doesn’t only look after the footballers injuries “but also their needs…”. This, of course, leads to one very flustered footballer and a plethora of sexual positions and angles involving sports equipment. Then we have a slightly arrogant and incredibly sexy, first-ever female football manager, the diplomatic-come-executive, the lesbian who wants to steal your job and the stealthy paparazzi in black. The scenarios are are varied and exciting, but with real sex and real pleasure!
ball-control (1)

They say that football is a man’s world, but there’s one woman on this pitch with all the power. The Team Physio Eva puts her massage skills to the test when struggling player Brodie needs a firm hand to help boost his performance – both on and off the pitch.
You can expect lots of communication and dirty talk between the performers, who obviously feel comfortable, respected and incredibly sexy on set. The scenes are heavily female focused, with a lot of massage, foreplay and pussy being eaten! Just right! Of course, the male characters are just as charismatic and receive just as much pleasure, dream scenarios and blow jobs. You can feel how much fun was had on set, especially with the short, personal comments from all the cast at the end of the film.

So, what are you waiting for? We release a new film every week on Lust Cinema, alternating between my XConfessions series and ethical, fantastic adult cinema from the future of porn Directors and production houses. You can watch this and more now in Lust Cinema!

Lusties! I was recently inspired by Amarma Miller’s incredibly fun vlog about her favourite books! You can watch below! English speakers – Amarna is Spanish, so don’t forget to turn on subtitles.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLq_IA3QKNU

As a writer, not just a producer and director, I love literature! And I wanted to share my list of favourite books with you. I asked my amazing team of staff here in Barcelona and we came up with the 25 most important and inspirational books everyone should read!

IMG_8808

#1 The Surrender

by Toni Bentley
An intimate memoir of her sexual awakening, she tells the tale of her forbidden lust and the new experience of radical and unexpected pleasures.

#2 Fire: From “A Journal of Love”

The Unexpurgated Diary of Anaïs Nin
The third volume of Nin’s provocative diaries. It tells the story of her time in New York, filled to bursting with sex, drama, fantasy and confession!

IMG_9721

#3 We Should All Be Feminists

by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
A modern essay about feminism in the 21st century. Adichie did a TEDx talk just like me, and after 3 million views it became a book. She talks about how society as a whole, not just men, has to change in order to find true equality.

#4 The Second Sex

by Simone de Beauvoir
This is seen as one of the starting points for second-wave feminism! The prolific and influential French writer talks about the ever persistent restrictions placed on women and exposes “the pervasiveness and intensity and mysteriousness of the history of women’s oppression”.

makingXC5-192

#5 The Female Eunuch

by Germaine Greer
A super important piece of writing about the repression of women’s sexuality. A must read for anyone who agrees that women should be free to liberate themselves sexually and reclaim the conversation!

#6 Bad Feminist

by Roxane Gay
Gay is not only a novelist but a professor too! Her book talks about the idea of the “role” of a feminist and whether more traditional and conventional ideologies go against it. She covers everything from The Obama’s to pop culture to her own personal experiences!

#7 Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?

by Mindy Kaling
Mindy is a hilarious writer, play write and actress! And her book is no exception. If you’re looking for something lighthearted, Mindy takes you through her life, her upbringing and talks about romance and friendship in a truly relative way!

#8 The Girls

by Emma Cline
This is a staff pick from our Content Manager Daisy! This fictional novel follows an adolescent girl who slips away from real life and into the arms of a teenage girl cult, not to mention the deep lust for a new friend and exploring new realms of her sexuality. It’s a thrilling coming of age story for adults!

Screen Shot 2017-02-20 at 11.13.25

#9 I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings

by Maya Angelou
This biographical account takes us through Maya’s childhood and adolescence. This is great for younger readers, because she recalls and describes the emotions and traumas of understanding sexuality in a way only they can understand.

#10 Lace

by Shirley Conran
Lace is a seriously steamy fictional romance that was very important for a generation of women! The book was released a few years ago on its 30th (!!) anniversary. It just shows how ahead of its time it was when it came to women taking control of their sexuality! Just don’t do anything to harm your goldfish, please!

spanksin1

#11 Meat Market: Female Flesh Under Capitalism

by Laurie Penny
A critial look from the journalist and writer about capitalism and the effect it has on the sexualisation and gender stereotyping and women.

#12 The Dialectic of Sex: The Case for Female Revolution

by Shulamith Firestone
Firestone was a professor of philosophy as well as a writer! In this book from 1970 she discusses her (often criticized!) theories that the oppression of women is biological rather than a social or societal occurrence! It was a call to action for the feminist revolution!

#13 Female Chauvinist Pigs: Women and the Rise of Raunch Culture

by Ariel Levy
This is a fascinating book in which level talks about raunch culture, the “idea that female sexuality should be about performance and not about pleasure” and about how women themselves were encouraged to objectify themselves and each other in American culture.

fraulein o-9

#14 Delta of Venus

by Anaïs Nin
From the author of Some Never Awaken, Delta of Venus is a collection of short erotic stories that were originally written for a private collector, but released publicly after her death. Nin was told to just write sexually explicit scenarios, but managed to leave in enough poetry and story telling to make these shorts super inspiring for people like me!

#15 Venus in Furs

by Leopold Von Sacher-Masoch
From 1870, this book is an incredible insight into female dominance, submission and sadomasichism!

#16 Un Hombre

by Oriana Fallaci
Chosen by our wonderful Press Officer Andrea! Fallaci is a fairly controversial writer! This semi-biographical novel talks about her relationship with an attempted assassin.

unnamed

#17 Ways of Seeing

by John Berger
One of the few books on my list written by a man, Ways of Seeing was based on a television series and was hugely influencial in explaining we the way we see and experience art and the world around us. It was important to somany visual artists like me! Berger sadly died at the start of this year, and he will be missed!

#18 Wide Sargasso Sea

by Jean Rhys
Written as a kind of response to Jane Eyre, this books looks at the power dynamic in relationships between men and women, with her main character ending up as a “mad woman”. She also talks about racial inequality and was considered a feminist writer!

#19 Americanah

by Chimamanda Adichie
This is a super powerful and important modern book about love in a world where racial identity and discrimination cause so many problems. However, there is happiness and passion as well!

couchsurfer_small

#20 Good Porn: A Woman’s Guide

by Erika Lust
Chosen by Katie, who works in our content department! Thanks Katie! In it I talk about the history of adult cinema, why women are important in the porn industry and offer insight on the educational and erotic value of porn! If you want to read it too, it’s available in my store!

unnamed (2)

#21 The God of Small Things

by Arundhati Roy
Roy is a female Indian writer, who explores the lives of fictional twins who are effected by the society rules of who and how they should love.

#22 The Conversations: The Art of Editing Film

between Walter Murch and Michael Ondaatje
A slightly different choice from Ines, who is my Editor at Lust Films! All the confessions you see are edited by this very talented woman. As you know, having a female crew is incredibly important to me – and the female gaze is intrinsic in making progressive and radical films. And Ines is a fine example of how creative, intelligent women are a benefit to the industry!

unnamed (1)

#23 The Handmaid’s Tale

by Margaret Atwood
This fictional tale is set in the near future, in what some call a “feminist dystopia”. Although Atwood herself doesn’t classify the theme of the book as “feminist” it does portray a world where women have more power!

#24 White Teeth

by Zadie Smith
I love this book which is about the lives of several different immigrant families living in London, who come together in one way or another. Zadie Smith tackles race, gender and culture so well! A super interesting read!

#25 The Golden Notebook

by Doris Lessing
The Golden Notebook is about a woman who records every aspect of her life in a journal. The book is seen as incredibly political and an exploration of sexual liberalization and the women’s rights movements.

How many have you read? And do you have a book recommendation which aren’t on my list? Let me know!

I thought Emma Watson’s mission to hide copies of Maya Angelou’s “Mom and Me and Mom” on the London underground was amazing! Were you lucky enough to find a copy? Tell me about how you discovered your favourite reads!

Everything you need to be a sex-positive feminist!

feministman-24

As you know, my mission in life is to spread the joy of sex-positivity! I have been working over the years to change porn, improve sex education and change unhealthy attitudes towards sex. Many of us are still under-represented and we find ourselves wondering how we can recognize and own our sexuality… well, it’s time to reclaim it!

Societal pressures lead us to slut-shame ourselves and each other for having regular, casual sex and, on the other hand, make us feel prudish for only wanting sex within a relationship and not engaging in broad ideas of “female sexual liberation”. But being a sex-positive feminist is simply about understanding and acknowledging your own needs, desires and fantasies and doing the things you want and consent to 100%!

feministman-41

So, grab your backpack and get ready to load up: here’s my guide to how to achieve your sexual liberation and truly become your own version of a sex-positive feminist!

Learn about your lust!

It’s often difficult, especially in an age of varying forms of feminist activism, role models and pressures, to decide what “kind of feminist” you want to be. Your own needs or desires may seem to conflict with what you believe “good feminism” to be. But have no fear! There is no wrong answer, as long as it includes equality and consent! My first piece of advice is to do your homework and learn about what makes you happy! What turns you on and what doesn’t?

good-porn-a-woman-s-guide

Good Porn: a Woman’s Guide is a comprehensive look at the topic – what it is, what types are available, and why men and women enjoy different styles. I examine the films, the industry and the phenomenon, making porn more accessible to women. You can be a feminist and still like porn! In fact, in my book I talk about the benefits of porn in heightening women’s sexual appetites and why it’s important to have women behind the camera too!

Wear it with pride!

It’s crazy that women are still shamed for being openly sexual. I mean, isn’t that the biggest double standard you’ve ever heard!? If you want to reclaim your sexuality, wear it for everyone to see! In fact, with one of my tote bags, you can wear it on your shoulder!

IMG_8346

From MONOGAMY IS OVERRATED to I WISH I WAS A LESBIAN, there is sure to be a provocative statement that will suit you!

Self-love, all the time

Self-appreciation goes a long way, and I believe that really good sexual pleasure can come from getting to know yourself as well as possible! It’s important to broaden your horizons, watch lots of good, ethical porn in order to discover what you like and dislike. And of course, masturbate! Everywhere and all the time! And how better to free yourself than with a discreetly sized vibrator to keep in your tote bag for self-love on the go?

ro-if-you-love-memetallic-wand-vibe

I recommend the incredibly cool RO- IF YOU LOVE ME by Rocks-off or the Metallic Wand Vibe by Marc Dorcel. Both small enough to carry around and stylish enough that you won’t be embarrassed about it making a public appearance!

Sex positive surroundings

For those into BDSM, it can be very important to have the right environment and tools for really creating pleasure! This jailhouse bed from director, producer and designer Kristyan Geyr, will have you feeling perfectly at home! The prison-look, steel-framed bed comes equipped with a set of iconic Smith & Wesson handcuffs and is guaranteed to withstand even the strongest of punishments! And if you’re wondering if a sex-positive feminist needs to be dominant, check out my XConfession Feminist and Submissive.

luxury-items-jailhousefuck

Treat yourself!

Don’t forget that positivity comes from within, so spoil yourself a little with some of the items on my list of top gifts to buy yourself for Valentine’s Day! Including these overly indulgent rose petals. Because you can!

rose-petals-explosion

Watch sex positive porn!

It’s easy to feel pressured in a world where our sexual education has been dictated by the mainstream porn industry and unrealistic ideas about gender roles and beauty norms! So, it’s time to do the opposite. In XConfessions you can find a huge variety of ethical, feminist adult film including A Feminist Man, inspired by a confession from a student, who is turned on by nothing more than her highly educated and self-proclaimed, feminist gender studies professor!

Some Never Awaken in my new XConfession!

B_12
I’m so happy to finally bring you my new release on XConfessions! This confession was inspired by an Anaïs Nin poem about the monotony and conformity of life, and how to break free from it! And of course, what better way than with a sexual awakening. I was able to work with two of my favourite performers again, Sylvan and Julia Roca. Some Never Awaken is uninhibited, passionate and primal!
B_5

This is a poem that awoke something in me. Maybe it was sexual, maybe it was something deeper. I thought I would share. It is called “Some Never Awaken” by Anaïs Nin.

“You live like this, sheltered, in a delicate world, and you believe you are living. Then you read a book… or you take a trip… and you discover that you are not living, that you are hibernating. The symptoms of hibernating are easily detectable: first, restlessness. The second symptom (when hibernating becomes dangerous and might degenerate into death): absence of pleasure. That is all. It appears like an innocuous illness. Monotony, boredom, death. Millions live like this (or die like this) without knowing it. They work in offices. They drive a car. They picnic with their families. They raise children. And then some shock treatment takes place, a person, a book, a song, and it awakens them and saves them from death. Some never awaken.”

From Anonymous’s confession Some Never Awaken

B_28
In this short, Julia Roca explores a sexual awakening. We see a different kind of performance from this incredible actress, in that she dances, runs, screams, leaps and exudes passion and energy throughout! We were able to film in a beautiful old building, in which Julia explores each room and herself, staring lustfully at herself in the mirror or exotically winding down a passageway.
We see her lose all inhibition, before joining Sylvan G in bright and airy room, were there’s an air of experimentation and new beginnings. These perfomers have so much chemistry together. The sex is so real and electrifying between them! And the climax… well, you’ll have to watch and find here!
B_21
Julia is always such a pleasure to work with. She is so full of life, with an incredible passion and an even bigger smile! She really lights up the set with energy. She was the perfect choice for this short. For the dance scenes, Julia worked with a coach, Riikki, for several days, learning how to move her body artistically and interpretatively. The results (as I’m sure you’ll see!) are incredibly, but I think Julia’s natural confidence and elegance are also to thank! As always, she was super easy to work with.
B_56

I am so much more in love with Sylvan after this shoot as well! He gave an air of awe and submissiveness with Julia, like he couldn’t believe his luck and wanted to totally absorb every moment of it. Their chemistry was incredible, but the look on Sylvan’s face screams real lust and real pleasure. He becomes less and less able to hold control and when he finally gives in to the euphoria, wow!

B_9
In fact, the pair had so much fun on set that we ran a little over time and it started to get dark! I wanted the short to be full of light and energy, so it was important to maintain the bright natural daylight we had so much of earlier! Luckily my amazing production team were on hand to set up some equipment and turn everything around. I’m so glad, I think everything turned out perfectly!
M_3

In XConfessions, people from all over the world share their sexual stories and fantasies. Every month I pick two and turn them into cinematic short films. Still not a member of XConfessions? Register now! Or share your sexual fantasy, and it might become a short film

Best of Poetry on XConfessions!

I recently came across a post on XConfessions which inspired me to immediately start production on a new erotic film! The post was that of someone who had felt a sexual awakening through reading poetry and it got me thinking about how poetry, much like erotic film, can be a sensory experience that can take you somewhere else, outside of your body and the normal confines of pleasure! So, I decided to compile some of my favourite poetry from XConfessions over the years! After all, what’s sexier than a great mind?

tumblr_o6i3efg7Fi1tzmsf0o1_500

The post was about a poem called Some Never Awaken by Anaïs Nin. You can watch Some Never Awaken now on XConfessions!

Another poem which filled me with lust was I Put a Pagan Spell on You! by spell_on_fire. It inspired me with a sense of the outdoors, the unknown and something wild and untamed. I had to turn it into a short erotic film! Which you can watch already on XConfessions, starring two of my favourite and most famous performers Owen Gray and the ever spellbinding Vex Ashley 🌿

I Put a Pagan Spell on You!
by spell_on_fire

Gates of the Woods,
Powers of my mind,
let the sexual visions come forth,
happiness and bliss to find!

Goddess of The Forest, grant my request;
Goddess of the Forest, hear my plea.
Open the floodgates of desire in the man for whom my heart conspires;
let him feel the heat, oh Goddess, of my body warm and sweet.

I want you to want me, I want you too need me,
I want you too desire me, I want you too lust after me,
I want you too see that we were meant to be,
I want our desires meet,
I want lust to over flow in the body of yours,
In this night of passion only you can lust and desire me,
this is my will so let it be.

The next is short, but super sexy! Sometimes it’s true that less is more. And this poem by Mijikai Ero Kakikomi is no exception. I love it because it’s so simple but says so much. It describes one of the most exciting parts of a new relationship and the erotic heat of the Spring 🔥

Sleight of Hand
by Mijikai Ero Kakikomi

The First time,

He squeezes her butt cheek in public,
(and she likes it),
the relationship has achieved a new level.

Spring is in the air.
Sex is everywhere.

This confession by fd59 was one of the most spectacular I had ever seen!! Not only are my fans incredibly passionate and sexually inventive, imaginative and open, they are also, more often that not, fantastic writers! This poem really spoke to me about sexual exploration , but also a kind of restraint of pleasure common in BDSM. The idea of fighting and magnifying the pleasure for the ultimate, explosive orgasm sounded like music to my ears! This poem is absolutely gorgeous 😍

Solitudes
by fd59

I was a college student… She was the mother superior and the Latin teacher. She taught me to lick a clit.
She said me: “Close gently in the incisors meat button and then repeat: “Vivamus, mea Lesbia, atque amemus / rumoresque senum severiorum / omnes unius aestimemus assis. / Soles occidere et redire possunt: /nobis, cum semel occidit brevis lux, / nox est perpetua una dormienda. / Da mi basia mille, deinde centum, / dein mille altera, dein secunda centum, / deinde usque altera mille, deinde centum. / Dein, cum milia multa fecerimus, / conturbabimus illa ne sciamus, / aut nequis malus invidere possit, / cum tantum sciat esse basiorum.”
The imperceptible and tapping movement of the tip of the tongue, that over the years I felt, on the clitoris, became a torture when pleasure began to grow. I wanted the light touch to become strong and domineering opening the road to orgasm just about to explode. But when the first contraction seemed ready to unleash the others, the tongue, spiteful, was away and it seemed that everything had to start again. The pleasure was so restrained that grew slow but inexorable as the cream of the milk on the fire. It salts on; if you lower the flame it comes back down; however, its temperature continues to rise; you have a lot to do in holding the boiling, but sooner or later the foam goes up up up and pours from the pot in a boiling river. These were my orgasms with the verses of Catullus.
I emptied completely, too; it took me a sense of abandonment that in those moments did not seem so bitter as I would have thought with the progress of time. The walls of the vagina, in the contract, would have liked to shake a dick; but whose? That fluid embrace would be wasted with an absent-minded man, not attentive to my needs; I was not interested in love, but in the attention and care yes. And so I continued and continue, in the quiet of my room, to live with my uneasy peace.

The last one I’ll share with you again today is an older post from an anonymous confessor. I love the mystery of this. The romanticism. It captures the imagination so well, which is, of course, what we love so much about our fantasies. Sometimes they can seem almost real and suddenly the next day they’re gone…

Under the Influence
by anonymous

Once I took so many drugs I almost died.
did I say once?
maybe there where many more,
many
more.

Under the influence,
mad frogs yelling at the department blocks
maybe there were many more blocks
many
more
blocks.

Inside the room
didn’t notice when I was kissing him
heavy blush,
big room lights like lens flares.

He was male as I,
he was 5 years older
but didn’t notice when I was kissing him.

I was loving it,
our kiss was something
eternal.

Under the influence,
we land in the kiss that last forever.

Fabulous.

The lights were turned off.
everyone left the room
maybe there where many more rooms
many
more
rooms.

The zipper got down.

Then,
I
touched
his
dick.

And
he
touched
mine.

Fabulous.

I loved the taste of it.
I loved having it
in
my
mouth,
waves of an ocean,
an ocean
so deep
and we,
under the influence,
touched
the bottom.

he was like going to church,
a wise man so beautiful,
I could barely see the sky on him.

so we stay in the room,
under the influence.

I touched him
and he touched me.

fire.

I sucked his penis, so tasty
so warm.
he sucked mine,
we loved each other.

Like clay.
like a mount of clay.
like a hundred miles of clay.

heterosexual
was now only a word
an illusion
so transparent
I could barely see it.

In those days.

Some Never Awaken

💗 Pandora Blake on BDSM, Feminism and Ethical Porn 💗

💥This one’s a long read, make sure you take 15 mins to sink your teeth in! 💥
After the release of Feminist and Submissive, I’ve been talking to men and women in the industry for want to dispel the myths about BDSM!
From my film Feminist and Submissive
Pandora Blake is a feminist adult performer based in the UK, activist, writer, public speaker and film maker all in one!
She currently runs an award-winning ethical BDSM site and like me, knows the importance of having a diverse range of people in front of and behind the camera in adult cinema!
I interviewed her about the rise of BDSM in mainstream porn and the problems facing women in porn right now in the UK.
Thank you Pandora for an amazing interview!

preview-full-pandorablake-press1

Hi Pandora! It’s so great to talk to a woman on the same mission as myself to change the face of porn, *virtual high five* 🙂 Now down to business. Your work has been described as “ethically produced fetish content” on your site Dreams of Spanking. Can you explain a little what this means?

Dreams of Spanking is all about fetish. It’s a BDSM site specialising in spanking and corporal punishment, with scenes ranging from real life couple spankings, to fantasy stories and scenarios. Because the content deals with pain and, in some cases, fantasies of non-consensual situations, ethical production is of utmost importance.

As a performer I understand that the working conditions on set is what makes a company ethical. So my shooting process is very performer-driven; I give performers creative control over their scenes, and they can choose who they want to work with and what they want to do. On set, I try to create a positive atmosphere, without stress or awkwardness. And I try to direct in a way that gives my performers the best experience possible. Everyone on set has the right to cut whenever they want to, for any reason, and no-one will ever be made to feel bad for doing so. I also have a policy of equal pay for performers of all genders.
Beyond that, my ethics manifest in working with a diverse range of performers, including performers of colour, performers with visible disabilities, performers of all body shapes and sizes, and transgender performers. For me feminist porn means shooting bodies of all genders with an erotic gaze – not just letting the camera focus on the women.
You won your court case over the new UK porn laws last year. Congratulations! Have these laws affected your work since?
It was a long struggle, and Dreams of Spanking was offline for ten months. I was so relieved when I heard I’d won my appeal and was able to re-open the site – I’d always known that the laws were unjust.
Unfortunately, only a few weeks after my triumphant re-opening, a new law was presented to the UK parliament which will bring in even worse regulations.
The Digital Economy Bill – which looks set to become law in a couple of months – will require porn site owners to pay for age verification checks for every user who visits their site. For me and most other small sites, this cost would add up to way more than our total income. Not only that, but the law will require a new porn regulator to assess and classify every video online, and if it wouldn’t be legal to publish on DVD in the UK, it won’t be legal to publish online if UK viewers can see it. You will have to comply with these rules even if you have age verification installed, so only adults can view it; and even your site is not in the UK. If you don’t have age verification set up, or your content would not be allowed on DVD, then your site will be ISP blocked by the UK government.
preview-full-Dreams-of-Spanking_erotic-spanking012
Can you explain a little why the UK porn laws are sexist, rather than just the UK being prudish?
Firstly, the film classification guidelines are totally out of date. One of the acts which would cause a film to be refused classification is squirting – female ejaculation. So in the name of “cleaning up porn” they are going to ban depictions of genuine, authentic, unfakeable female orgasm (and other vulva-owning folks)! It’s totally ludicrous. The classification rules are out of touch with current social standards about what is acceptable, and they’re even out of step with the case law they are meant to be based on.
Not only that, but many of the fetish acts which seem to have been highlighted as “unacceptable” are those specific to female domination porn – so many sites owned and operated by women will be criminalised because they contain femdom material, whereas the sort of porn traditionally made by men will be fine. For instance, facesitting is banned as it might cause asphyxiation, but deep-throating is fine – even though there’s just as much risk of breath restriction!
From my film Feminist and Submissive
Can you also explain why the UK porn laws seem so geared towards BDSM content? (For example, “vanilla” practices like double penetration or deepthroating weren’t highlighted, when I’d argue they are just as dangerous (or not) as facesitting and squirting)

Double penetration and deep throating are fetishes – there’s nothing wrong with them, but they’re quite extreme, and the sort of thing that takes a bit of practice and commonly involves an element of humiliation or power play, just like facesitting or fisting. But those kinky acts involving dominance by a person with a cock have somehow found themselves being accepted as “mainstream” or “traditional”. Now that women (and other cunt owners) are becoming more sexually liberated, and more financially independent, and are able to make and buy porn for ourselves, we are finding that acts of involve cunt pleasure and cunt dominance are being defined as “extreme fetish porn”, whereas acts of cock pleasure and cock dominance are seen as normal and default. So part of it is that in our social scripts around sex, cock dominance is seen as an “acceptable” kind of kinky power play, whereas cunt dominance is seen as abnormal or extreme.

Besides these factors there is a lot of BDSM stigma and misinformation behind these laws. One assumption that they are based on is that it is impossible to consent to BDSM. The idea is that a “violent” scene (for instance, spanking) is just as bad whether the performers consented and enjoyed the experience, or whether it was genuinely assault. The idea that consent doesn’t matter is part of rape culture.

Are you a feminist?
I identify as a feminist, yes! My feminism is intersectional, and trans and sex worker inclusive.
Why do you think people have trouble associating feminism with submission?
I think it stems from the second-wave feminist ideology that has done an analysis of the oppression of women, and has developed all of these suspicions that some ways that women behave is the result of patriarchal indoctrination – particularly around sex. There’s this idea of “false consciousness”, that if a woman complies with patriarchal expectations and claims to enjoy it, she must be brainwashed and not know her own mind. It’s a really simplistic analysis that erases individual agency; and it’s historically been used to oppress women at the intersection of multiple marginalisations, such as women of colour, women with disabilities, sex workers and trans women.
Consent is what makes the difference. But for many people, the nuances of consent, fantasy and roleplay are too messy for them to try to untangle. It’s easier just to dismiss the whole arena of erotic pain and power play as “problematic” rather than getting stuck into the complexities of how these things can be pleasurable, empowering in certain consensual circumstances.
From my film An Appointment With My Master
Is there a difference when it’s a man dominating, or in a lesbian pair for example? (I.e. is the issue with submission only rooted in patriarchal ideas that men must always be strong and dominating, and that women exist to be ‘taken’ and ‘penetrated’ like Simone de Beauvoir argues we have been taught, making them purely an object to be acquired rather than having agency over themselves)
For some people, lesbian pairs might be less concerning than a man dominating a woman; but others might argue that lesbians are simply mimicking the problematic power relationships of men and women, so from a second-wave feminist perspective it might not help you!
Personally, I think the thing that makes female submission a feminist thing to do is personal agency and freedom of choice. And I don’t mean individual choice between a coercive structure; someone “choosing” to do the easiest thing that will gain them the most social legitimacy and help them fit in with a sexist society. I mean free choice within a genuinely liberated structure of equality. So my work aims to build that new, liberated structure – and that means that men dominating women can’t be the only story we see. We have to see queer couples too, and trans and non-binary people, and women dominating men, and men dominating men! You can see all these pairings on Dreams of Spanking.
Only when all of these varieties are seen in our whole society to be equally sexy, equally normal, and equally appealing, is the choice to do one or the other truly free. We aren’t there yet. But we are working on it! And the more visibility queer BDSM, female domination and trans BDSM gets, the easier it will be to know that a choice to submit to a man is truly that – a choice, and not just conforming to social expectations.
preview-full-Dreams-of-Spanking_nude012
Has BDSM infiltrated the mainstream, and is this a good thing?
I think perhaps it has, a little, but not as much as I’d like. 50 Shades of Grey is the obvious example; you can buy paddles and handcuffs on the high street, and BDSM erotica is increasingly normal, particularly in the fanfiction community which 50 Shades grew out of (mostly written by women, for women!). But the 50 Shades view of BDSM is still very problematic; Christian is abusive and manipulative towards Ana, he ignores her when she asks him to stop, and she doesn’t really enjoy it – she just wants him to like her. So if this is still our most visible representation of BDSM, I’d say we have a long way to go.
From my film Dominate Me
There’s a lot of concern around young people, and children, stumbling across internet pornography by accident or otherwise (myself and my partner have started a non-profit called The Porn Conversation to address this). A lot of teen girls are “camming” and it seems fashionable in the younger generations to be openly kinky or fetishistic. Do you think this is just a trend? Have young people always been like this? And is it a good thing?
I think young people have always been curious about exploring their identity, trying out different personas, and pushing boundaries. Nowadays, many young people express themselves and try out different identities online, as part of their journey to find out who they are.
Sexual awakenings happen at different ages, but for many people their eroticism starts to develop long before the age of consent for sex. I think it’s natural for children to be curious about bodies and sexuality. What we need is an environment where young people can choose how, if and when they want to explore their sexuality. If they are free to explore when they are ready, and not before, then I think young people experimenting with ways to sexually express themselves is healthy and natural.
As for camming… well, there’s an argument that our culture’s fetishisation of women’s bodies, with skinny bodies presented as desirable and appealing all over the place in advertising, TV and films, does encourage young girls to measure their worth by their desirability. And camming can be an amazing way to feel desirable! But I don’t think that’s a problem with camming itself. It’s a problem with an unequal society that considers female bodies to be innately more sexual, and more desirable, than male bodies, and that produces imagery primarily to appeal to a heterosexual male gaze. If we can liberate ourselves from unequal objectification of female bodies (perhaps by creating and normalising erotic imagery of sexy men, and people of other genders…) then young people can be free to explore their sexual self-expression without pressure.

What’s coming up for you in the adult cinema world? And where can we find your work!
The next step for me is going to be a transition for Dreams of Spanking – I am trying to find a way it can survive the changes that are threatened by the Digital Economy Bill. In the meantime the site is currently up and running – the only legal spanking site in the UK, and totally uncensored – so check it out while it lasts!
I’m screening a film at La Fete du Slip in Switzerland next month, and I’m hoping to go back to the Berlin Porn Film Festival again this year.  I will continue to work for other producers as a performer – I have a scene coming up on Bright Desire that I am excited to see!

NEW RELEASE | Lust Cinema
Champion: Love Hurts by Pink and White
👊👊👊👊
I’m super pleased to bring you a new, steamy, female directed movie to Lust Cinema! Champion: Love Hurts is our new release from director Shine Louise Houston, who brings lesbian fantasy to life in a diverse and powerful way.
The film follows a pro female Martial Arts fighter, Jessie Eaton (Syd Blakovich), battling against opponents, new flirtations and an insatiable lust for an ex Cathy Summers (Jiz Lee). The characters in Champion: Love Hurts are strong and formidable, with a powerful sexuality that speaks louder than words. The sex scenes range from totally relatable, with the protagonist leaving her ex to finish herself off due to training engagements; to rough, dominant BDSM. All real and fiercely packed with passion. Expect a lot of sweat and even more trash talk.
CHAMPION-Syd-Blakovich-Dallas
Shine has produced strong, bullshit-free, hot sex. Not recommended for those looking for girly, nubile, hairless heteronormative fantasies or women “going gay for pay”. These women assert their sexuality with dominance, they slap, fuck and finger bang with a sense of vengeance that concedes perfectly to the narrative. Jessie gets her girls wet, red, panting and screaming and each scene is frantically exhilarating. There’s a ton of chemistry between each couple that makes you jealous you weren’t on set.
Champion-Love-Hurts-Dylan-Ryan-Javier
CHAMPION-Syd-Blakovich-Jiz-Lee
Jessie Eaton (Syd Blakovich) is a hotshot jock who can’t let go of her ex-girlfriend, Cathy Summers (Jiz Lee) while making her way into women’s professional Mixed Martial Arts. Her plans hit a snag when a run in with an old nemesis, Bobby Malone (Javier) blocks her way to the top. To save her career she must throw the match that would surely be her ticket into the professional arena. Even trickier is her attraction to the women she is suppose to beat, Violet Vahn (Dallas) who is Jessie’s toughest opponent inside and outside the ring. Will she win or will she lose? What does winning and losing mean?
Champion-Syd-Blakovich-Madison-Young

The narrative is engaging and exciting, the film opens with an incredible parallel between Jiz Lee masturbating and Syd Blakovich working out which may cause you to forget you’re watching porn!

“release your inner demons and let them seduce you”
1

Glam Beckett is an artist from Moscow, Russia and one of my most recent artist collaborators for XConfessions. I came across her work on Instagram some time ago and I’m extremely happy to be able to illustrate your darkest secrets with her dark, erotic illustrations.

Glam is a firm believer in the Punk movement and this theme carries into her observations of the female body, depicting BDSM culture and what she describes as the “romance between love and death“.

Thanks for answering my questions Glam! Check out her Instagram here.
Handcuffs%20 %20flirtmoji
What made you want to collaborate with XConfessions?

I’m so honored to be an artist collaborator for XConfessions! I’d heard so much about it and was really impressed by the films, especially Horny Beasts. Also, I found out that some of my favorite artists and adult films performers are here too. Thank you for having me!

Do you identify as a feminist?
Yes, I define myself as a feminist and I believe in equality for everyone, despite endless differences between people.
It makes me sad, that in Russia the government officially promotes differences between men and women, making the priority and purpose of a woman’s life to get married, have kids and serve her husband.
9
The Punk movement is clearly evident in your work. Why is this important to feminism and sexuality?

Behind aggressive Punk aesthetics  (leather jackets, heavy boots, skulls and chains) stand people, who fight for liberation and feminism. The Punk movement doesn’t have any beauty standards; it gives an alternative to typical femininity and a space for personal expression of uniqueness. It doesn’t matter what about your age, gender or sexual orientation, you can just be yourself with no need for approval.

Is there a story behind the recurring skeletons and demons in your images?
I simply like demonic and mystic characters. In my drawings, skeletons and demons represent the dark desires that all of us have hidden inside. Sometimes you just need to release your inner demons and let them seduce you. I also believe that there’s a romance between love and death, because every moment of passion destroys you as much as it empowers.
6
One of your images was inspired by Cam Damage! Do you take a lot of inspiration from erotic film or other artists? Who in particular?
Yes, I love the idea that erotica and art can be joined into something unique.
I first started doing sex and BDSM themed illustrations after discovering kink.com. Some of my drawings depict scenes from ‘Sex and Submission’ and ‘Training of O’. Last year I went to San Francisco and had a chance to take an Armory Studios tour and explore its dungeons. It was interesting to see what’s behind the scenes.
The ‘Inside Flesh’ project is a huge inspiration for me as well. I really like its dark aesthetics. They create such a beautiful nightmares, that are disturbing and creepy, but sensual and sexual at the same time.

As a reference for most of my rope bondage drawings I use photos taken by The Dark Arts. He is one of my favorite erotic and fetish photographers.

What’s in the future for your work?

I’m going to improve my skills in dot-work, try lino-cut printing and make more erotic art. Also, I hope to add more prints and merchandise to my shop.

If you could describe yourself in one image, what would that be?

Top Sex Toys for Men!

I’m always surprised and excited to know how many men are huge fans of my films! Mainstream porn is always catered to men’s pleasure and men’s desires, so it’s a great feeling to know that I’m creating something more ethical and more real, which is enjoyed by everyone.

So, I compiled a list of my top sex toys for all those sexually intelligent males!

magic magnus

The idea of men exploring their sexuality took a bit of a back seat for a while, with mainstream porn readily available and with the rising culture of male pleasure being a woman’s job alone (sorry boys, it’s a two way street and sometimes you’ve got to practice a little self-love). But nowadays men are more sexually aware, intelligent and independent. More men are openly into kink, submission and happy to explore their sexual orientation! Male sex toys, however, can still seem a little daunting. So I’ve broken it down for you!

Cock Rings

Still from El Que Ama Conoce Dios

A toy commonly used by couples, the cock ring isn’t too much of a surprise to most people. But the variety of styles and models out there is enormous! I have almost 15 in my store alone! They’re simple to use and super effective, so why not? I recommend the Tor 2 Vibrating Cockring by Lelo. Waterpoof and rechargeable, one-size-fits-all and with a more powerful vibration than ever before!

Plugs

If you’re a heterosexual man and haven’t explored ass play before, the butt plug can seem like a huge leap into the unknown. But in fact it’s totally normal and totally incredible! Starting out with something slim and comfortable will help you reach overwhelming new states of pleasure easily! This vibrating plug by Lelo is a great place to start. It has 12 different modes of vibration and can be equally as pleasurable for women too.

For those more versed in anal pleasure, the ultimate toy is the Duke: P-spot MassagerThanks to its ergonomic shape, it adapts effortlessly and smoothly to the male anatomy and stimulates the P-spot and perineum simultaneously with three levels of vibration and three pulse patterns that promise a never ending array of vibration pleasure.

duke-p-spot-massager

Eggs

These may seem confusing, but they’re basically small egg shaped tools for masturbation! Open them up and experience a range of different textures to use during “you time”. They’re designed to heighten sensitivity and pleasure and can be used solo or with your partner! This Tenga Egg Variety pack contains 6 different textures and comes in an extremely kitch egg carton, what could be better! (And more inconspicuous). There’s even a handy how-to video you can watch by clicking here! And don’t forgot you can get 15% off this product in Lust Store now!

erotic-toys-tenga-eggs-6-pack-bundle

Fleshlights

Fleshlights are some of the best selling toys for men right now. They basically mimic a vagina, with soft material inside a torch shaped container. Perfect for solo masturbation that feels exactly like real sex! They’re super easy to clean and come in a vast range of sizes and descriptions. But my favourite is the Original Pink Lady. I’ve been told it has the added bonus of looking just like a torch when it has it’s cap on, super sneaky!

original-pink-lady

Try a little submission

The patriarchy has been telling men for years that they have to be dominant and in control, and mainstream porn has done nothing but perpetuate these ideas in sex. Well, it’s bullshit and I love to see men taking on submissive roles too! Check out Bishop Black in my XConfession Dominate Me.

“People who are truly strong lift others up.” – Michelle Obama, 2016, New Hampshire

feministman-40

It’s International Women’s Day. And although I do have a little gift for you in the form of a free film, I also want to draw your attention to the real, global threat of gender discrimination and violence.

Gender-based violence is killing women every minute.

Globally, 1 in 3 women will experience violence at the hands of a male partner.

So what can we do about it? Well, lots of things actually! I’ve given a breakdown of some charities and phone numbers, in the main countries I have audience in. Donating to a charity is a really simple, easy thing you can do very quickly. Also getting involved in activism – and having the bravery to stand up for yourself or the women around you. Say NO to rape jokes, call people out on sexism and misogyny. Every little helps.

Domestic violence and gender-based violence in the U.K.

2 women are killed every week in England and Wales by a current or former partner

1 in 4 women in England and Wales will experience domestic violence in their lifetimes and 8% will suffer domestic violence in any given year

NEW RELEASE | XConfessions
Refugee’s Welcome by Bruce LaBruce

“A few years ago I was displaced from the country I lived in, due to wars that are nothing to do with me and are out of my control. I was forced to travel for many months until I managed to end up in a country so completely different from my own that I never knew how I could see it as a home. Until one day I met a man.”

From a confession by QuentinQueer

Today is a very exciting day Lusties! I’ve been waiting a while to release this film to you, and the day has finally arrived! This film has so many exciting aspects I don’t even know where to begin!

  • Our first gay film on XC
  • A new Guest Director in the form of the prolific Bruce LaBruce!!
  • A controversial and IMPORTANT subject matter, looking at refugees and racism
  • Plus it’s a deeply moving love story, that you can be moved by no matter your gender or sexuality.

“Berlin is unique, it is one of the bastions of leftism in Europe. It may be one of the most open cities for refugees” – Bruce LaBruce

So begins ones of the more unusual confessions that I have received on XConfessions.com. Inspired by this deeply moving and brave story, I decided to collaborate with a male director for the story of a gay Syrian refugee arriving in Germany: the prolific, fantastic and controversial director Bruce LaBruce! Here as a Guest Director shooting XC’s first ever gay film!

❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜

Screen Shot 2017-03-09 at 12.32.23

Addressing the biggest humanitarian crisis since World War II, Germany has taken in 1.2 million refugees so far, and the number is growing. So what better place to set this film than in Berlin? A Syrian refugee is living in Germany when he stumbles across a poetry reading by a tattooed, kind-eyed man. Not understanding each other’s language, they nevertheless share a moment of recognition, of desire, from across the room. Too shy to approach any further, the young man walks away. But that won’t be the last time they meet…

According to the UN Refugee Agency, there are almost 5 million Syrian refugees in exile in the world. Germany has given asylum to 1.170.000 of them, a fact that has sparked both record numbers of people volunteering while at the same time an increase in hate crimes by racist, far-right xenophobic movements.

Screen Shot 2017-03-09 at 12.32.50

Brutal, gentle, sexy, romantic and earth-shatteringly moving, this film is an exploration of how our differences can become our similarities; how in a world being turned upside down, love and desire are still the strongest forces of all.

In this short film Bruce has captured the best of human nature and the best of the German welcoming spirit. We must kill the resurgence of xenophobia and racism in Europe and the US with messages like the one in this story. We must stand united in our diversity.

“Now the phrase Refugees Welcome has an entirely new meaning for me.”

❤️ 💛 💚 💙 💜

Politics and Porn: Presenting Bruce LaBruce

Today marks the release of our biggest and most ambitious short to date, Refugee’s Welcome, produced by me and directed by the incredible, prolific Bruce LaBruce!

admin-ajax

As I reach the 10 year anniversary of Lust Films, I’m so honoured to work with one of the most important voices in pornography, film making and queer culture! Bruce LaBruce, the self-proclaimed Prince of Homosexuals, is famous for controversial and highly political film making, writing and photography, which is why there was no one better suited to make my first ever gay short starring two men, Refugee’s Welcome.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLtSMXtmqJQ

Bruce first shot to infamy in the 1980s when he produced a super influential zine alongside G.B. Jones called J.D.s which accelerated the queercore movement far beyond their hometown of Toronto, Canada. The zine and the movement expressed the same discontent with society as the punk movement, although from a particularly gay viewpoint, and some say it was was the starting point for an entirely new and necessary movement.

peres9_A_sat10_rc_burn

These days LaBruce is a film maker, with over 30 years of work under his belt, plus an artist, photographer and a writer for major publications like VICE. He even produced a project based around his own fragrance, Obscenity, a word that has followed him throughout his career and he now sees as a badge of honour. I’m in awe of his work and as a writer and film maker myself, he’s definitely been an inspiration and an influence!

Screen Shot 2017-03-09 at 15.17.36

His photography, like his films, explores the taboos around queer and trans culture. More often than not, they’re completely explicit, iconic and representative of the queercore generation. His work is deliberately abrasive, some might say revolutionary! It’s punchy, proactive and unforgettable, and I love it.

dia_0290

Of course, his films have always sparked controversy due to their depictions of the hard right, political statements and explicit pornography. The catalogue is exclusively gay, featuring punks, skinheads, neo-Nazis, aliens, vampires and sadomasochistic tendencies. LaBruce’s 1999 film Skin Flick was so shocking that it provoked protests at many UK cinemas. It depicts a group of neo-Nazi queer icons who abuse a wealthy, multi-racial couple, before the tables are turned and they are abused themselves. It’s hard to grasp this as enjoyable pornography, but LaBruce’s work is more than pornography. It’s political activism. LaBruce feels that depicting powerful figures in porn, allows us to remove or transfer that power, something he believes is very cathartic. Considering the majority of us watch porn, it’s surprising it isn’t used more for political purposes.

Screen Shot 2017-03-09 at 15.15.36

Our recent endeavour together, Refugee’s Welcome, seeks to humanise asylum seekers who are often lumped into numbers in the media and considered too serious a subject to explore in parody. The narrative explores the story, history, desires and human needs of one Syrian Refugee, who after suffering a hate crime, will have an encounter where neither origins nor skin color will matter but only compassion, understanding and the universal rules of attraction. In an interview with Konbini, LaBruce said “with Refugee’s Welcome I wanted to show not only that refugees are not a statistic or a group of displaced people merely to be pitied or dealt with as an abstraction, but also that they are real, multi-dimensional people with emotional and sexual lives.”

To me this is such a moving story. Not only does it seek to shed necessary light on racism and a huge current humanitarian problem, it’s also my first gay short, and I’m so excited to share it with you! Shot in Berlin, it’s a striking reminder of a huge crisis taking place in Germany. Berlin’s also prominent for being one of the queer capitals of Europe. There are so many important aspects to this XConfession, so I’m so grateful to get to work with Bruce LaBruce to realise it! You can read more about Refugee’s Welcome here.

The refugee crisis in Europe and Trump’s ban on Muslim immigrants entering the USA has incited racism and hate. It has dehumanised immigrants, making them appear to some as one big collective threat rather than individuals in need. The incident in Cologne on New Year’s Eve 2015, in which a group of immigrant men allegedly sexually assaulted party goes, only perpetuates the idea that immigrants are dangerous, animalistic and uncontrollable. But maybe this doesn’t have to be the stereotype? And with a little work, it won’t be!

First of all, we need to understand that sexual culture is completely different throughout the world. What may seem obvious and normal to Westerners, might seem perverse or even sinful elsewhere. The simple rules many of us follow regarding how to engage in sexual acts with someone else respectfully, may be completely new to others.

In my native country of Sweden, sex education has been taught in schools since 1921!

Young people are taught about sex and sexuality throughout their school education, overlapping it with biology, psychology and history. And most importantly, students are taught about gay and lesbian relationships in equal amount with heterosexual relationships! For me, it’s completely shocking that this isn’t normal practice everywhere, because don’t people of different sexualities exist everywhere?

“Now the phrase Refugees Welcome has an entirely new meaning for me.”

Whereas in Muslim countries, a lack of sexual education means that for instance, young women have little knowledge about periods, men are generally uneducated about the female body and these topics are seen as taboo! Therefore, when approaching desires and how to act on them, it’s hard to know where to begin. I believe that sex education is first and foremost where it comes to understanding relationships, consent, respect and of course, pleasure. Good sex education will keep you and the people around you safe, happy and full of lust! My project with my partner Pablo, The Porn Conversation, offers tools for parents to use to instigate the talk at home. Our mission is to give adults the opportunity to help kids and teens make smart and informed decisions regarding pornography!

I read a super interesting article recently, about a a Doctor teaching sex education to refugees in Germany. After working for many years in Arab and Indian communities, she was pretty understanding of the lack of education, the timidity of the men and women, and also about the verbal abuse she may receive for being “the woman who talks about sex all the time”, but she persisted! It’s proven that a bit of sex education in communities like these can reduce cases of sexual assault in the areas drastically! She wanted to demystify sex and give men and women the tools to make informed decisions, which ultimately lead to more knowledgeable, respectful and pleasurable sex!

“A lack of sexual knowledge often translates into hypersexual behavior and aggression. Men who are comfortable in their own skin and who can communicate their needs are much less likely to grab women between the legs without asking. Self-confident men can endure a “no” without feeling disparaged – something that the advanced-placement physics students often understand better than the class heartthrobs. Those who understand their own bodies understand that the bodies of others have their limits. I am in favor of clear formulations. In my classes, I persist that rape and sexual harassment are criminal acts of violence. Nobody can say that they didn’t know better.”

My most recent and ambitious XConfessions release and collaboration with Bruce LaBruce, Refugee’s Welcome, is intended to shed light on the complex lives of refugees and show that they are human, with interests, desires, intellect and ambitions.  I wanted to dispel some myths and show that a refugee is a person capable of sexual intimacy just like anyone else! Many critics feel that the film is too serious, but I wanted to make a statement. I would love for my films to represent every kind of person that exists, and this is one step towards that. And hopefully, if more of us open our minds, bad, racist stereotypes will become a thing of the past!

Surely the first step we need to take towards global equality and kindness and empathy is to start treating each other like human beings, and see each other as complex, sexy, fascinating, interesting and worthy of attention and love?

We have a new artist on XConfessions!

Introducing Nikki Pecasso
 Screen Shot 2017-03-13 at 11.11.34
At the forefront of the new generation of female artists using visual art as a means of activism is one Nikki Pecasso. After stumbling across her work on Instagram I knew that we had to have her fierce, filthy and fantastic work on the XConfessions site! A young woman based in Vancouver, Pecasso illustrates modern sexuality in women, using comedy and dark humor to create scenes that we are all familiar with. Her use of black and white lines in a cartoonish style make for powerful images that catch your eye and leave you even more curious. My favourite piece of hers is the one above: a self-portrait that holds so much power, strength and casual confidence. I love it! Keep reading for my interview with her and some brilliant insights into her work. And don’t forget to check out her profile on XConfessions.com to see which confessions have been illustrated with her work!

Hi Nikki! You have such a fantastically unique style, what inspires you?
Thank you!  Well, I have always been creative and started drawing around the age of five.  My cast of characters were mostly female and had very feminine-like qualities.  Since then I have been inspired and influenced by a wide range of issues and experiences regarding women, dating and sexuality.  My illustrations are a mixture of my own experiences.   I create playful portraits, bouncing between real life, autobiographical experiences, fantasies and memories.  Most drawings are reflections of myself or people I know.  Others are archival images or inspirations I have discovered and collaged, or created from imagination.  I draw my body transposed into bodies of other characters.
Why illustrate women’s sexuality?
I illustrate women’s sexuality as it something I have always struggled with.   I love being sexually free and as a result, I have been verbally harassed, slut-shamed, frowned upon and even assaulted.   I have felt ashamed and even embarrassed about who I am.  This shame I am feeling is reflected in my art, and through the act of drawing I am able to relinquish some of this shame.    People interpreted my openness as an invitation for their sexual desire rather for my own exploration or self-discovery.  I am NOT going to resort into oppressing my sexuality. I wanted to illustrate my own overt sexual interpretation of desire, love and sex. I enjoy drawing female characters, which open up and become real, sexually potent, explicit characters.  And when I mean open, I mean being free about what you wear, how you act, what you talk about and how you choose to live your life. Celebrate womanhood!  Celebrate sexuality for YOURSELF.

Why collaborate with XConfessions?

I have always been a fan of Erika Lust, her films and the way she approaches sex and sexuality.  I came across her cite while taking my “sexual Representation in Cinema” course at Concordia University.  Since then, I have explored her work and found Xconfessions which I was obsessed with.  This was everything I wanted to explore in art.  These true stories of emotions, fantasies, confessions were coming from human beings that I could relate too.  I thought her films were so beautiful.

I love the “connect the dots” idea, what’s the story behind that?
When I was younger, I loved to draw and connect the dots.  I was into anything that puzzled me, and involved creativity.  Eventually, I built my own connect the dot games where I would draw a million little dots and connect them to my own imagined image.   I like the idea of having the illustration as some sort of tease or playful game, where I am not giving too much away.  I want to viewers to interact and use their imagination with they view my work.

It is said that your work is “playful and malicious”. Would you agree that it’s an angry response to modern society?

I’d like to say my work is more playful and meticulous rather than malicious.  I am not trying to say anything with anger.  I am just trying to express my own experiences with sexuality by illustrating sincere, honest, vulnerable and powerful portrayals of women.  I also want to encourage more sex positive art through a series of graphic and sexually-liberating illustrations.

How did you get involved with the “Hotter than July, Hands off my Cuntry” exhibition?
The amazing curator Savannah Spirit reached out to me via instagram.  Even though I was the only non-american involved in the exhibition, I immediately agreed.   I thought this exhibition  was very important and critical as it pushed political boundaries with a “non-violent” protest through “Sexploration”.  So far the show has received amazing press, ( Forbes Mag, Huffington Post, Dazed, Vice etc) and just travelled to Detroit for the “Dirty Show”.
bue is the warmest
Why have exhibitions showing only female artists?
The exhibition was to address women and their female reproduction rights, giving donated proceeds to planned parenthood.  Most of the artist involved were females, but there were a handful of very talented male artists.  Most female artist are overlooked, under appreciated or hidden by the shadows of their male contemporaries.  “Hands off my Cuntry” was an exceptional exhibition that gave women the right to have their voice be heard.

How do you think your illustrations depict the way women feel towards Trump right now?
I’m not too sure.  I wasn’t making art in response to Trump winning the election.  However, I feel like a lot of my work does connect with women whether they live in Canada, the US or the rest of the world.  My art impacts women as it can be identified with promoting conceptual pro-sex spaces, feminine and queer sexuality and embracing sex as a natural and pleasurable human desire.
Do you think it’s true that feminism in art is gaining momentum right now? And will it work?
Yes, but I  think it is a new “re imagined” form of feminism that getting huge right now in contemporary art.  This kind of feminism focuses on the prevalence of white male privilege in the contemporary art world.  Today feminist art celebrates womanhood in every possible way.   Similarly, I think LQBTQ in contemporary art is gaining momentum and getting the recognition it deserves.
downonme
What’s in the future for your work?
So far its been a busy couple months for me.  Around Valentine’s Day I had a solo show in conjunction with a book launch entitled “Roses are Red, Boners are Hard.”  Currently I am curating an intimate group show at a contemporary gallery in Vancouver.  I have lots of projects in the horizon.   I want to develop a graphic novel and transform these drawings into sculptural pieces for installation in a gallery.
If you could describe yourself in one image, what would that be? (One image please)

This is definitely a hard one….Maybe “I just want to fit in”. It focuses on my own vulnerable attitude towards “fitting in”.  Not only physically, but emotionally and mentally.  I have been in those moments where I was considered “most desirable” or “considered intimate” by forcing myself to agree on some term of non consensual sex.  Not fitting in to a category I believe I belong in, even though I want to be free and sexually liberated.

.

“I just want to fit in”
Another option would be….
“Stairway to Drunk”
Did you ever find a good visual representation of an orgasm? If so, can you share it with us?

“Do what you love and Fuck the Rest”

Give your money to women, not sex dolls

Europe’s first ever sex doll brothel is opening right here in Barcelona

A company called LumiDolls claims to offer you a pleasurable and discreet experience with the doll of your choice, for the small price of €80 per hour. All the dolls are different, hygienic and the most lifelike of their kind. Although brothels like this have existed in Asia for some time, this is the first thing like this we’ve welcomed (or maybe not!) to our home continent. So, as someone who works in the sex industry and solely promotes sex positivity and ethical practices, I’ve been thinking about this a lot.

1204843

It has often been shown that sex workers can actively help and heal their clients and I firmly believe that sex work is not something that can be considered completely negative. However, these instances can be rare and this kind of work can often be dangerous for women. So, it’s important to consider the idea that sex dolls can have positive effects on their users, without the risk of putting anyone else in danger or handing over someones control. Using a sex doll can be a simple and possibly easier alternative for those who don’t want or aren’t able to maintain a real relationship, those who are in long-distance relationships, or those who simply don’t enjoy dating and find it too much of a hassle. According to the owner of LumiDolls, the dolls serve as an “alternative” to human relationships. “Many customers write to us expressing the positive changes that having a RealDoll has brought to their lives, alleviating loneliness and aiding in social anxiety,” . These issues in particular ring true for many women, which is brilliantly discussed in this video for VICE by Slutever, in which Karley Sciortino explores the reasons why so many women are now ordering their own personal male dolls and adult performers like Jessica Ryan are even starting to involve them in their work!

Unfortunately, we’re a long way away from male sex doll brothels, and I have to wonder if the results can be as positive when patriarchal gender roles take the lead! Men have had a firm hold over women’s sexuality throughout history. Since the invention of currency, it’s been used by men to pay for sex, and the industry has been fraught, dangerous and unpredictable for women. In patriarchal systems, women are expected to offer their services to men, yet haven’t been allowed to control their own livelihoods or their own sexuality. Nowadays, it’s gone as far as taking the control completely away from women, by creating silicon, doll versions of them to have sex with instead. Is this really a healing, safe alternative for men? Or is it just stripping sex workers of the money they so rightly deserve?

IMG_9763

If sex work was legalised, women would have the right to their own business, their own money and the ability to work in safe, secure, protected spaces!  #GiveYourMoneyToWomen is a recent trending topic on Twitter. Brought to life by analyst and dominatrix Bardot Smith; private consultant and dominatrix Yeoshin Lourdes; and domestic violence educator and prison abolitionist Lauren Chief Elk-Young Bear, the organisation aims to ensure equal pay, violence prevention, wealth redistribution, and health within the sex industry by giving money to women directly! They spoke in this amazing interview about how the majority of money in the porn and sex industry goes to large corporations, rather than the women doing the work, and that mainstream feminism can often be closed minded and damaging by stigmatising sex work.

It’s time for sex work to change, for the better. It’s time for women to have control over their work! Are sex dolls aiding some of the individuals who use them, or is the industry in general going to do more harm to actual sex workers? I’m super interested in exploring this topic further and changing perceptions! Let me know what you think in the comments!

These performers are beautiful, natural, young and super cool! Rather than your typical pert, blonde mainstream lesbian scene performers, you can expect bright orange hair, hipster get-up, real bodies and real flirtation and giggling that will have you squealing as much as them!
