I’ve just found an incredible new video about consent. Incredibly simple, incredibly fun. I think it illustrates quite good, thanks to the tea metaphor, all those blurry lines that still generate controversy around the subject.
You may offer a cup of tea to someone and get a positive response, then go to prepare the tea. Maybe when you’ll be back that person won’t feel like having tea anymore. Of course this can be terribly annoying! But still… you can’t force them to drink.
The video by Blue Seat Studios has a script by Rockstar Dinosaur Pirate Princess – what a nickname! Part of its success is due to the clean, cristal clear animation in black and white with key red details every time we approach a delicate situation.
Let’s see if little by little we are able to make everybody understand something still so painfully and frequently ignored, in spite of being quite simple. Specially among the youngest women: let’s provide them with education, the most powerful tool to face their first awkward sex-related situations.
