News Roundup:
On Sunday, Katie Hill became the first member of Congress to resign after an ex made her the victim of revenge porn. But attorneys say it cannot be reduced to revenge porn; it’s about an alleged abusive ex, a far-right media storm that amplified misogyny, and a society “gleefully receptive to the sexual humiliation of a young woman who dared to be powerful”. Revenge porn is a tactic of abuse. Katie Hill’s case makes that clear. [Vox]

Girls wear cycling shorts under their skirts at school or when doing bar work to stop men grabbing them. A woman’s job is to stop men raping them. This is rape culture, then – where we all assume violence against women is inevitable.” [The Guardian]
