I find nature extremely erotic. I love to get out of the city and go on hikes by myself.
I love how physical it is, getting scratched and whipped by branches. There’s something exciting about how unpredictable nature is, how it forces us to reconnect with our primordial selves.
I would love to share this experience with a partner, strip down to our bare skin and get dirty.

Julia Patey is taking us into the wild in her newest XConfessions film SP(L)IT. Julia, who had grown up in Canada herself has always had a close connection to nature and likes incorporating this connection into her work as a director. Combining contrasts is one of her main tools in filmmaking which is why she chose the topic of spit play for her second contribution to XConfessions. Julia likes to show the behaviours and sexual acts that make us feel a little dirty but arouse us at the same time.
SP(L)IT is the story of a couple who is trying to emotionally reconnect by going on a spiritual trip into the wilderness to focus on themselves and each other without the distractions of everyday life.

Performers Sif and Clint Blvck are a real life, married couple who mainly perform with each other and embrace a poly-lifestyle in their relationship.
They told us in their interviews that it was rather easy for them to adapt to their roles in SP(L)IT as they went through a similar experience as a couple and could relate their personal lives to Julia’s script and I think it really shows in the movie. Their performances are super authentic and I am glad they enjoyed their first shooting for XConfessions!
